Privacy Policy

The short version

You can complete a comparison without giving us your name or email. Your comparison is private, protected by your account or a secure cookie in the original browser. A partner invitation grants access only to that partner’s run. Private pages request no search indexing.

What we collect

• The website addresses you enter, and the photographs gathered from them
• Which photograph you chose in each round, and the resulting scores
• If you create an account: your email address
• Advertising measurement via Google Ads: only that a comparison started, and only if you accept ad measurement in the banner. No names, no image addresses
• Coarse product events without a comparison ID (for example that a comparison was completed) — only if you accept statistics
• Approximate country and browser language, to understand where we are used
• A one-way scrambled form of your IP address, used only to enforce fair-use limits
• If you buy a Wedding Pass: a payment reference and the pass dates

We do not record image addresses or photographer names in our analytics, and statistics and advertising measurement are switched off until you choose in the banner.

Legal basis (GDPR)

• Running your comparison, account and Wedding Pass: performance of our agreement with you
• Fair-use limits, security and copyright takedowns: our legitimate interests
• Coarse usage statistics: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time

Cookies and local storage

We use essential secure cookies to protect guest comparisons, and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your statistics and ad-measurement choices. Statistics are recorded only if you accept them in the banner, and advertising measurement runs only if you accept ad measurement. Payments

Wedding Pass payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. We store only the payment reference, the purchase time and the expiry date.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the services that run the product: our hosting and database provider, an AI service that reads the gathered photographs to pick fair pairs, Stripe for payments, and Google Ads for advertising measurement when you have accepted ad measurement. Some of these may process data outside the EU. Provider agreements, processing locations and applicable transfer safeguards must be reviewed before public launch.

Photographs are sent to Lovable’s AI service for subject classification. Website rendering may use Firecrawl. Newly imported JPEG, PNG and WebP files have embedded identifying metadata removed; watermarks remain visible. Older stored files may still contain metadata.

Retention

• Comparisons made without an account, and their photographs: deleted after 30 days
• Comparisons saved to an account: deleted after 12 months
• Usage statistics: deleted after 13 months
• Payment records: kept as long as required by accounting law

Deletion runs automatically every day. You can ask us to delete a comparison or an account sooner at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
