How it works

Stop comparing websites. Start comparing the photography.

Three steps to explore the photos you prefer and make a more informed wedding decision.

01

Add your photographers

Paste the websites of the two wedding photographers you're choosing between. We gather a pool of photographs from both.

02

Trust your instinct

We show you photos from both photographers without telling you who shot them, pairing similar moments so you judge style rather than subject.

03

See who you actually prefer

After the final round, we reveal the photographer behind your favourite images — with the numbers behind the result.

The details

How are the pairs chosen?
We match like with like wherever possible: a ceremony frame against a ceremony frame, a black-and-white portrait against a black-and-white portrait, landscape against landscape. Subject is the main rule, followed by colour treatment, scene and orientation. We do not repeat photos to fill a longer test; if there are too few comparable subjects, the test becomes shorter.
Can I tell who took which photo?
We hide studio names, website addresses and original filenames in the test. Embedded metadata is stripped from newly imported JPEG, PNG and WebP files. Watermarks and recognisable scenes can still identify a photographer; we do not remove them. Which photographer appears on the left or right is randomised every round.
What if a website can't be read?
You can paste specific gallery pages instead, or upload photographs directly. One awkward website doesn't stop the comparison.
Can I remove photos before starting?
You don't have to. Pick a Photographer automatically sets aside logos, text graphics, collages, headshots and non-wedding work. You only see the photo list if we couldn't find enough comparable pairs.
How long does it take?
Preparing the photographs can take a few minutes, depending on the websites. The test starts as soon as enough fair pairs are ready. Take the choices at your own pace.

Find the photographer you'll love — before you book

Paste two photographer websites. The names stay hidden while you choose the photos you love, then you see who made them. Your first comparison is free, with the full result included.
